How to Block Someone on Gmail

If you wanna ignore emails from someone, you can mark emails as spam. But, when you don’t want anything from the person in your inbox, then the only solution is to block that person.

You can block someone on Gmail with its built-in blocking system or you can use a Chrome Extension called Block Sender to block the sender.

How to block someone on Gmail

  • Go to Gmail.
  • Search by name of the person you want to block on Gmail search box.

  • Select Block (Person’s name)
  • Click Block.

How to block someone on Gmail with an Extension

  • Install Block Sender in your Google Chrome Browser.
  • Sign up for an account.
  • Connect your Gmail account with block sender.
  • Verify your account.
  • Refresh Gmail.
  • Open one of the emails from the address you want to block.
  • You will see a Block button at the top of the email.
  • Click on Block.
  • Now, you can block the sender, or all emails from the domain or all emails with the same subject.
  • To unblock, open an email from the address you have blocked.
  • Click on the Block button.
  • Deselect what you have selected before.
  • You are done.

 

How to unblock someone on Gmail

  • Go to Gmail.
  • Search for the person on Gmail search box.
  • Open one of the emails from that email address.

  • Select Unblock (Person’s name).
  • Click Unblock.
  • You are done.
